The NERFN has recently commissioned a vital piece of work from the Cedar Partnership. This involves the learning and training of local authority enployees, in faiths literacy.
Given the government's new 'duty to involve' legislation, it is now imperative that those making decisions which affect the lives of local people, must have a degree of understanding about the faiths, which so profoundly influence our lives.
The uptake of this training has been encouraging, both north and south of the region. Watch out for up coming events where both faith and government groups will have a chance to learn more from each other.
