Equality Act Training Event

The Equality and Human Rights Commission is holding a free regional training event for Case or Advice Workers from voluntary sector organisations providing legal advice or information.

The event will provide an opportunity to learn about the Equality Act which started to come into force on 1 October.
What will you get from the event?
• Practical understanding of the Equality Act
• Use practical case studies and examples of how the Act applies across all the strands, with a focus on employment
• Understand the main differences presented by the Act
• Be able to apply the Act in practice and advise others on the impact and application of the Act
• Resources and guidance.
Who should attend?
This training will be of particular interest to advisers supporting people in the North East who are already carrying out discrimination and/or equalities advice work and advisers interested in developing their skills in this area.
